About

The two most important days in your life are the day you were born, and the day you find out why.
~Mark Twain.

After nearly four decades spent in the field of graphic design, advertising, and marketing communications, I've finally discovered what I want to do when I grow up.

Able Woodworking is dedicated to bringing traditional craftsmanship together with high-quality materials and exacting standards of construction.

My earliest childhood memories are of time spent in my father's cabinet shop in a small town in western Pennsylvania. Saw dust got into my system early on, but I chose a different path, career-wise.
But I never stopped building. Over the years I've taken what my Dad taught me and challenged myself with new techniques, new methods, and a constant desire to learn more.

All the work you see here is crafted using traditional joinery. Rarely are mechanical fasteners employed, and then only if absolutely necessary. All pieces are built by hand. With a lot of heart and soul.

My mission is to build pieces that will delight my clients. To create forms that function. Each piece is a story. And each is built to last generations.

If you are interested in commissioning such a piece, I am ready.
And, as I hope you see, Able.
